It was the second meeting of the Scottish Indoor League at the Kelvin Hall last Sunday, with Kilbarchan Athletic Club competing in the afternoon section and providing some good performances. with several individual event winners.

In the overall age categories, the under 20 women finished 1st and after 2 meetings are 1st overall, the under 17 women were 2nd and are 1st overall; the under 20 men were 2nd and are joint 1st overall; the under 17 men were 1st and are joint 2nd overall; and the under 15 boys were 1st and are 3rd overall. So with one meeting to go, all these teams have a good chance of qualifying for the Scottish Finals in March, when the top clubs from the morning section and the top from the afternoon league will compete against each other.

Winners on Sunday included for the under 20 women, Holly Belch who had a treble success winning 60metres in 8.36seconds and the 60m Hurdles in 9.75 seconds, as well as the 400m in 62.5s. Also, Emma Pettigrew won the High Jump 1.45m and Rachael Mathieson the Shot. For the under 17 girls, Judith McNicol won the 60m Hurdles in 9.85 seconds and in the youngest age group, Mhari Rundell won the under 11s 60metres in 9.85 seconds.

For the under 20 men, Gary Stevenson won the 60m Hurdles in 9.36 seconds and Cameron Clark the Triple Jump clearing 13.51m. Winners  for the under 17 boys were Stephen Fleming the 800m in 2 minutes 7.0 seconds and Andrew McLaughlan the shot with 13.29m and for the under 15 boys,  Jack Lochans had a double success winning the High Jump clearing 1.57m and the Triple Jump 10.39m while Andrew Cunningham won the shot with 11.61m. In the younger age groups, Ryan Richards won the under 13 boys Shot and Gordon Galbraith won the under 11 boys 60metres.
