Report from Arthur Smith .... The performance by Hayley Haining at the London Marathon at the weekend, was one of the outstanding performances of the year, her time of 2 hours 29 minutes 18 seconds, confirming her as the 3rd fastest Scottish woman marathon runner of all time. Unfortunately, Hayley looks likely to just miss out in selection for the Olympic Games though her time would have guaranteed selection for any previous Olympics. However, she was delighted with her time, another personal best, and she looks forward to further opportunities in the future. |
