Livingston, 1st April 2006Hard luck to the Mens team who finished just out of
the medals, in 4th place out of 57 starting teams. .. a disappointing
statistic is that this was the 5th time in 9 years we have been 4th .. we
were also 3rd in 1999. Club Event - David Cummings 7 mile Handicap 26th March 2006Thanks to all those that helped make it a successful club race. Special Notice - Commonwealth GamesKilbarchan's Haley Haining was 9th representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia for the marathon event. Finishing in 2 hours 39.39 minutes she was one place ahead of fellow Scot Susan Patridge with Shona Hicks 16th for a fine overall performance from the Scottish trio. Full results. In the triathlon, Kerry Lang finished 19th. Finishing 3rd after the swim she fell back to 21st in the cycle race before pulling back to 19th in the run. Full results. Marshall Moor Race 8th January 2006Congratulations to Chris Devenney who won the Marshall Moor race, timed at 45.37, ahead of Donald Petrie 45.51. Sandy Ross was 4th (48.46), Andrew Clugston 5th (60.54), and Claire McNicol had a fine run for 6th place in 71.13. 9 athletes took part and special mention also for Christine Scarles with an excellent time of 82.05. Also well done to Wanda Phillips (80.14) and Max (89.26). |
