On the 9th October Kilbarchan athletes Lewis King and Heather Fawcett took part in a very unique race.  They started in a pleasant Cornish Autum, ran through the dry heat of the desert and finished in a tropical rainforest! 

The race took place at the awesome Eden Project in Cornwall with the route taking the runners through both Biomes. It was a fairly big event with around 500 runners taking part (mixed ability and ages with plenty of local club runners).  Both kids ran really well and enjoyed this unique event. 

Heather was thrilled as, being the third female home, she was awarded a lovely glass trophy.  Definitely the highlight of her holiday so far.  (There were plenty of puzzled faces wondering where Kilbarchan is on the map!)
