Kilbarchan Amateur Athletic Club's
AGM and Presentation of Awards, will take place at the David Lloyd Club in
Renfrew, on Wednesday 26th September, starting at 7.30 pm.
At the meeting, reports of the various activities of the club will be made
and the committee for the following year. will be elected.
The Presentation of Awards is a main part of the meeting and the club is
delighted that one of their own members, Nicole Treacy, recently voted Miss
Scotland, will make the presentations.
The Club Track and Field Championships have just finished. Winners included
Andrew Cunningham and Rachel Pugh, who dominated the Field events and Craig
Haxton who won the Track Championship Shield with Laura Kinder winning Track
award. The 100metres awards were won by Megan Leighton winning the Ladies
Salver and James Quinn the Donnie Stewart memorial Trophy, In the under 17s
age groups, Chelsie Macdougall and Megan Leighton were joint winners of the
Track championship while Mia Shepherd won the Field competition. For the
boys, Billy Russell won the Field Championship and shared the Track
competition with Gavin McArdle.
Ewan Johnston won the under 15 boys Track and Field competition and for the
girls, Jemma Reekie won the Track and Victoria Cleer the Field.
For the under 13 girls, Rona Tytler was the track winner and Kathryn Meenon
the Field winner and for the boys, Michael Cairns and James Toal were joint
winners of the Track and Andrew Costello won the Field competition,
Under 11 girls Track and Field winner was Mackenzi Cunningham and joint
winners for the boys were Adam Cleer and Douglas Arthur.
