Sunday Training Run by Donald Kennedy ..
A few of
us me up this morning for a little 9am run up the Old Kilpatricks
this morning. Despite the bad weather of Rain, Rain Rain and more
rain (from Saturday) with a lot of wind, there was a good turnout.
All had good fun over the 7.46 miles including conquering some
fears. Lots of folk slipping, sliding and falling into water. Not
the quickest run I've ever done, but very enjoyable and everyone
appeared to have lots of fun - probably a few stiff legs and backs
tomorrow. See who shows for the Monday night session. |

Interesting new race....
'We're extremely excited to be sponsoring our first event at the end of this month - and we have been delighted to see just how popular this race has become. We are sponsors of The Southside Six, which takes place in Glasgow on Sunday 30th October 2011, and so far the event organisers have seen entries sell out not once but three times!
Each time the race sold out, the organisers were able to extend entries until the maximum of 350 participants was reached, so we’re really looking forward to being at the event – and cheering on all the runners. The inaugural Southside Six will see runners racing 16 miles through six of the city’s parks. The brainchild of city runners Allan McDermid and Nick Vaughan, the event takes in Queen’s Park, King’s Park, Linn Park, Rouken Glen Park, Pollok Country Park and Bellahouston Park.
The aim of the event is to offer something completely new and different to runners, and also to showcase a great way to explore the green spaces of the southside of Glasgow. To find out more about the event see Southside 6 '
